Pre-MBA thoughts ..

With just a couple days left in US and in my first job and the joining date at ISB closing in, I am growing more and more aware of what this MBA means to me (or at least I want to be under this illusion, if it is one). I have got very differing opinions from my friends who have just completed their first year in B-school. Here are a few very interesting thoughts that have picked my brain, and would definitely help form and shape my opinion as I myself venture into my first year at ISB.

A friend from Wharton on what B-school is about?
- The education is not something to die for
- It is all about existence and access. (I like the way he put the whole scenario in just two words). Earlier we knew only about existence of certain business/social opportunities, but with B-school not only the knowledge of this existence grows many folds, the access to such opportunities also becomes a reality.

While a friend from ISB, with whom I did not have much chance to discuss in details, said:
- Education in B-schools is really underplayed and under valued. It does teach you a lot.

I will wrap up this blog right here for today. I know this is an abrupt ending for a nice rolling story of opinions, but I really want to keep this factual and not dilute with what I think :).
